My Name is Ms. Deborah Gladney, I am a mother of 5 and a grandmother of 7. I currently live in Oakland, California. I grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. I have an A.A. degree in Education and I have an A.A. in business management and business Retail. I have an Certificate In Paralegal Studies. I worked in the childcare field for over 10 years. I recently decide during the pandemic to write children books. I thought about this because for the last two years I worked at a non-profit Teaching Self Sufficiency through education and as one of the duties I performed I went out to childcare and schools and facilitated reading sessions with the children. This was something that was greatly needed in the Bay Area because of the low reading academic in this area in our elementary schools. The children were allowed to participate in the story and afterward make one of the characters that was in the story and it was theirs to keep. The children were way under the state reading levels.
